Things You'll Need:
- Swarovski Crystals or Rhinestones
- E-6000 Glue
- Medicine Syringe
- Jewel Setter - Wax End Stick
-
Step 1
Prepare a clean work area or table and place your clean fabric or garment onto it. If working on a garment, you may want to place a piece of wax paper inside of it where you will be gluing. This will prevent any glue from bleeding through.
-
Step 2
Next find an area on the table to scatter your Swarovski Crystals. They need to be turned so that they are FACE UP.
-
Step 3
Prepare your medicine syringe: Pull out the plunger and open up the E-6000 glue. Insert the glue tube into the syringe and fill it about half full, this will glue about 200 small crystals. Both the E-6000 glue and the syringes are available at most stores that sell Swarovski Crystals. Medicine syringes are also available at most pharmacies.
-
Step 4
You will want your glue to come out of the syringe in small droplets, a little smaller than the size of the Swarovski Crystals you are using. To do this, start by cutting off very small sections of the end of the syringe, until you get the right size droplets. Use a paper towel to test the size.
-
Step 5
Once your glue droplets are the correct size, you can start placing droplets onto the fabric where you want the Swarovski Crystals. I recommend not placing more than 15 to 20 droplets at a time.
-
Step 6
Jewel Setter Sticks can be found in most craft stores that sell Swarovski Crystals. This will be your BEST friend. It is a Q-tip like stick about 6 inches long with a small wax ball at one end.
-
Step 7
Simply put the wax end lightly onto the top of a crystal and it will lift it. Then place the crystal into the glue droplet, it will stick instantly. Next, carefully push it straight down with your finger, so that it does not slide sideways in the glue.
-
Step 8
Continue placing glue droplets and Swarovski Crystals until you have finished. You will be amazed at how easy and fast this is using these few inexpensive tools! ENJOY
