How to Empty a Swivel Sweeper

The Swivel Sweeper is an electric floor and carpet sweeper manufactured by Thane Direct. The sweeper uses rotating brushes to pull dirt into the dirt tray and is useful for smaller debris that doesn't need a large vacuum cleaner to pick up. The dirt tray on the Swivel Sweeper is removable and reusable. It also fills quickly, which means it needs to be emptied regularly to maintain the quality of your sweeper.

Instructions

1. Turn off the Swivel Sweeper by pushing the power switch on the battery compartment to "Off."

2. Place the base of the sweeper on a flat surface such as the floor or a countertop. You need to handle the sweeper base, so put it in a location that you can easily reach.

3. Squeeze the lock clips located on the top of the sweeper base and pull up on the handle of the sweeper. The dirt tray will disconnect from the sweeper.

4. Dump the contents of the dirty tray into a waste receptacle.

5. Place the dirt tray on the floor and line the sweeper base over the tray. The base is properly lined with the tray when the Swivel Sweeper logo is facing the same direction as the raised side of the tray.

6. Press down on the base to attach the dirt tray to the base. You will hear a click when the tray is attached.
