Pine floors beautifully accent any home. If they are not properly cared for, pine floors look dull and worn, and improper care will cause damage to the floor. Perform pine floor maintenance on a regular basis.
Things You'll Need
- Spray bottle
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 30 oz. water
- Cotton rags
- Cotton towels
Sweep pine floors with a broom on a regular basis, especially in high traffic areas and under dining room tables.
Create your own handy cleaning solution. In a spray bottle, mix 1/4 cup white vinegar with 30 oz. water.
Spray a cotton rag or towel with the solution. Mop the pine floor with the rag or towel. In really tough or dirty spots, spray the surface directly and wipe clean with the towel.
Clean up spills immediately using a damp cloth. Dry the spot after it is clean.
Mop the floor with a wood cleaner twice a year. Use a new mop and dry the floor immediately after cleaning with big cotton towels.
