How to Make Sleeping Masks
No matter where you live, odds are you always have some light coming through the windows, even at night. To get your best sleep ever, even if you're looking for a way to take a restful nap during the day, a sleeping mask will make your rest that much more peaceful. If you make your own sleeping mask instead of spending money on an expensive one in the store, you can decorate it to suit your style.
Things You'll Need
- Printer
- Scissors
- 1/4 yard satin, or any other material of your choosing
- 8-1/2-by-11 sheet of Presto felt (or any self-adhesive type felt)
- 1/4-inch-wide elastic (a little longer than ear to ear)
- Hot glue gun (optional)
- Decorative accessories such as glitter, buttons, plastic jewels (optional)
- Needle and thread (optional)

How to Make Your Own Sleeping Mask

Print out the sleeping mask template, then cut it out.

Place the mask template on the Presto felt before peeling back the felt's cover to reveal its sticky side and cut out the template. Do the same for your decorative fabric.

Reveal the sticky side of the Presto felt and press the edges of the elastic straps down in place. You may need to add a little hot glue to make sure the straps are secure.

Press your decorative fabric down on top of your Presto felt, with the right side of your decorative fabric facing up.

Now add any additional decorations you wish with hot glue, such as buttons or plastic jewels. Also, if you wish to make your elastic straps more secure, or if you don't own a hot glue gun, you can take a needle and thread and do a basic blanket stitch through the area where your elastic straps are attached.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using a hot glue gun, follow the instructions of the machine and be careful when handling it.
