Finding the owner an unpublished phone number may seem an impossible task, but there are a number of companies that offer this service for a fee. You supply them with the number and they can get both the name and address for you.

1. Go to NonPublished.com. Many businesses exist to serve this need, known as reverse lookup, and NonPublished is said to be one of the more reliable ones.

2. Click "Setup Account," located near the top of the web page.

3. Read the Service Agreement, then click "Continue." When you are verified to use the system, return to the homepage. Near the top of the page, click "Reverse Lookup," a process by which NonPublished sends an electronic response to phone providers to receive information.

4. Read NonPublished's services for reverse lookup. The company can track both land-line numbers, as well as cell phone numbers. Choose which service is appropriate for you by clicking on it.

5. Enter the phone number. After one or two business days, NonPublished should contact you with the name, address and other contact information.
