Things You'll Need:
- Empty wine bottle
- Cork
- Small square cardboard gift box (jewelry box)
- String of battery-operated Christmas lights
- Raffia
- Black spray paint
- Strong glue
-
Step 1
Cut off a strip from two of the top portions of the box's sides. You want the top of the box to fit snug into the bottom of the box. The bottom of the box will become the base for your wine bottle lamp.
-
Step 2
Place the battery pack from the Christmas lights into the portion of the box from which you cut the two strips. Cut a part of the box so that you can easily turn the lights on and off. Position the battery pack so that the on/off button is in the cut-out part of the box.
-
Step 3
Spray paint the box black. Let the box dry completely. Glue the battery pack into the box and snap the top part of the box into place so that it is on top of the battery pack.
-
Step 4
Glue the wine bottle onto the base.
-
Step 5
Put the lights into the neck of the bottle and try to get the lights into the bottle as evenly as you can. Turn the lights on while you do this.
-
Step 6
Tie the grapes to the raffia and then tightly tie the raffia to the neck of the wine bottle. Be sure to tie the raffia under the light string. Put the cork back on the bottle.
-
Step 1
Sponge paint the outside of a clean wine bottle.
-
Step 2
Tie raffia into a bow around the neck of the bottle.
-
Step 3
Arrange artificial or real flowers into the bottle.
