How to Obtain a Bar Code
Bar codes are one of the greatest retail inventions. They allow sellers to encode data onto a strip of black lines that can easily be read by a scanner. Imagine how much time and effort would be wasted if on every visit to the grocery store the cashier had to manually enter the prices of each item you want to buy into the register. From a concert ticket stub to the wrapping on a pack of chewing gum, bar codes are everywhere. In a few simple steps, you can make a bar code for your own use.
