Instructions

    • 1

Upload and install a photo editing program on your computer and open it up. Choose the dimensions of your card.

    • 2

Browse online for snowy and seasonal backgrounds. Old holiday cards may also offer seasonal backgrounds. Copy and paste the background to your open file in the photo editing program or scan the card onto your computer.

    • 3

Create a snowman by using the circle maker in the tools section of the program by stacking three different sized circles one on top of the other. Start with the largest circle on the bottom and end with the small circle on top.

    • 4

Use the paint and pen tools to draw a face on your snowman, making eyes, a nose and a smile. Use the pen tool to draw arms.

    • 5

Add clip art accessories to your snowman, such as scarves, hats and mittens. You may even want to add some clip art to the background of the card, like trees, animals or children playing.

    • 6

Personalize your greeting card with a message. If you plan on sending multiple cards and want to personalize each of them, edit the message and save them all individually.

    • 7

Upload your snowman eCard to a photo sharing site like Photobucket.com or Flickr.com and save them. Capture the URL and email it to your recipient. You can also save the file from your photo editing software as a jpg, gif or pdf file and upload it as an attachment to email directly to your friends and family.
