Rice pudding is one of my favorites. I find it much more feeling than ordinary pudding. This is a classic rice pudding recipe.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Gather and prepare the ingredients:

    1 cup of cooked rice
3/4 cup of seedless golden raisins
    13 ounces of evaporated milk
    1/4 cup of water
    2 eggs
    1/3 cup of sugar
    1/8 teaspoon of salt
    1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
    1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

  2. Step 2

Mix the cooked rice and raisins together in a 1 quart casserole dish. Set it aside for later use. If you don't fancy raisins, you can omit them.

  3. Step 3

Mix all of the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl. Beat until the mixture is smooth.

  4. Step 4

Pour the mixture over the rice and raisins.

  5. Step 5

Place the casserole dish into a pan of hot water. Place in the oven.

  6. Step 6

Bake the rice pudding for about 50 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The custard will be set when the pudding is done. Cool before serving.
