Step 1
First, you’ll need to visit the Google AdSense website at www.google.com/adsense and join. The joining process takes a couple of days, so give yourself some time to have your account set up.
-
Step 2
Next, once you have fully joined and been activated, you can start creating HTML to add to your website that will display targeted ads. You can create how you want your ads to appear by customizing the colors, sizes and layouts of each ad.
-
Step 3
Next, you’ll need to place the HTML you’ve created onto your website or blog. This will create ads that pop up to your viewers based on the content of your website. For example, if you have a website about fish, ads involving fish products will show up.
-
Step 4
Finally, you’ll want to track your earnings. To do this, log onto the Google AdSense website where you can view your daily earnings or earnings by week or month. Even if you earn money, you will need to have earned at least $100.00 in order to take a payout from Google AdSense. Good luck and happy money making!

on 10/26/2009 Thanks for reading! Remember that Google AdSense works by ad clicks, you really need a website that generates a lot of traffic, but not only traffic, you need content that will generate ads that people will click on. It's pretty slow going unless your website or blog takes off.

on 10/26/2009 Thanks for not over-hyping the income potential of ads for small websites. What type of website or blog have you found most useful for generating revenues?
