  1. Step 1

    Birth or Death Certificates in Delaware can be obtained by visiting the Office of Vital Statistics in person. The Offices are located in the Limestone Building in New Castle County, Jesse S.   2. Step 2

    Send a written request to the Office of Vital Statistics located at Dover, Delaware or call 1-877-888-0248 to obtain a Birth or Death Certificate.

  3. Step 3

    Visit the Vital Check website and order the certificate online. (See Resources for a direct link) For 20 years, Vital Check is an accredited provider and has offered people with official government birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates for a minimal fee.

    You need the following information before you begin:

    1. State or province where birth/death took place.
    2. Person’s official name
    3. The month, day year of the birth/death
    4. Billing and Shipping address
    5. Valid Credit card
