1
Use a backseat restraint. A zipline restraint, for example, ensures that your dog can move from side to side in the back seat, but not into the front seat. Clip the dog to a leash and harness, which attaches to the zipline.

2
Install a backseat barrier, which easily attaches to the front seats and fits any passenger car or truck. It prevents the dog from jumping to the front and causing a distraction.

3
Use a truck tether for open air pickup driving. The tether attaches across the pickup bed from side to side. Attach your dog's leash and harness to the line. This prevents the dog from jumping from a moving vehicle but let's him move from side to side.
