How to Use a Deni Food Vacuum Sealer

Deni manufactures vacuum sealers to store food for long periods of time. Food packed in regular bags is at risk of spoiling due to bacteria that forms because of the air. By removing the air from the bags, you can store food for longer periods of time without the risk of it going bad. With Deni vacuum sealers, you create your own bags, so getting the right sized bag is never a problem. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

  1. Making Bags

    • 1

Insert the bagging material into the back of the unit and plug the vacuum sealer into a power outlet.

    • 2

Pull the bagging material so the end sits at least one inch past the end of the machine.

    • 3

Shut the lid of the vacuum sealer over the bagging material and press down on both the left and right sides of the unit. Both the "Vacuum" and "Seal" indicator lights will turn on. The vacuum sealer does not have a power button, but uses the pressure from your hands pressing down on the side to activate the unit.

    • 4

Raise the lid of the unit and tear off the extra bagging material from the bottom of the bag when the "Seal" indicator light turns off.

    • 5

Pull the bagging material until it reaches the length of the bag you want to create and press down on both sides of the unit as described in Step 4.

    • 6

Open the lid when the "Seal" indicator light goes out and pull your bag out of the unit. The bag is now sealed on three sides and is ready for use.

    Vacuum Sealing Food

    • 7

Place the food you want to seal inside of the bag you created. There should be at least 2 inches of room at the top of the bag, and any liquid or food should be cleaned off of the area where the seal will be made.

    • 8

Slide the vacuum nozzle into the bag and place the open end of the bag over the seal wire.

    • 9

Shut the lid on the bag and press on the left side of the machine to enable the vacuum device. The "Vacuum" indicator light will turn on.

    • 10

Press the right side of the machine when all of the air is vacuumed out of the bag. The "Seal" indicator light will turn on.

    • 11

Remove the sealed bag from the device when the "Seal" indicator light turns off.
