How to Make a Paper TTC Bus
Making paper buses can be an ideal hobby for fans of bus transportation or transit, and is fun for all ages. It's a much faster process and is easier than making detailed kit models. Using the Internet, you can easily find a wide variety of bus types and paint schemes to create, representing transportation providers from across the world! In this article, we will create a paper model of a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) bus to start or add to your collection.

Locate a Bus Model

Use the Internet to locate a model for your Toronto Transit Commission paper bus. Search engines such as Google will turn up websites with collections of paper bus models.

Print your TTC bus model on a sheet of paper.

Cut out the paper bus model pieces using a hobby knife. Take care to cut smooth curves for the wheels and to cut out the tabs that you'll glue later on. You should have pieces for the front, back, sides, roof and bottom. Some models will have additional pieces for bike racks or special headlights.

Fold the pieces of your bus in preparation for gluing or taping. If your model has tabs, fold them away from the printed side of the paper, and fold the sides of the bus down from the roof.

Add glue or tape to the tabs and stick the pieces of the bus together. The front or back of the bus may be bent into a slight curve during assembly to create a realistic appearance.

Add any detailed pieces from your model to your bus. These may include special headlights, roof additions or bike racks.

Let the glue on your model dry. If you used tape, you're done!

Tips & Warnings
Using a thick paper such as card stock will give you a sturdier bus. Craft glue will probably hold your bus together longer than a glue stick, which can dry out and lost its adhesiveness over time. If you want to see what your bus should look like, use the internet to locate a photo of the appropriate TTC bus and use it as a guide.
Bus models can range from very simple to very complex. Different TTC bus models may have between four and 10 pieces and may require extra folding during assembly.
