How to Put Album Art Onto an iPod
Since it burst onto the scene in 2001, the iPod has helped revolutionize the world of digital music. Digital-music players---including the iPod---have made carrying a portable CD player and a stack of CDs a thing of the past for many. And now with their ability to display photos and videos, you can take the artwork for your music along with you as well.

Automatically Adding Album Art

Open iTunes on your computer. Click on "Get Album Artwork" under the "Advanced" menu item at the top of the iTunes software next to the "Help" button. This automatically downloads the artwork for music you have purchased from the iTunes store or for any music you have added to your library that is sold in the store.

Connect your iPod to your computer with its USB cable.

Find the songs you want to transfer to your iPod and drag them to the iPod icon in the panel on the left side of iTunes.
Add Album Art Manually

Open iTunes on your computer. Click on the song to which you want to add artwork, then click "Get Info" under the "File" menu at the top left corner of iTunes. Click on the "Artwork" tab in the window that opens in iTunes.

Click "Add." This allows you to search your computer for the artwork, which probably is in your photos folder. Click on the artwork you want, then click the "Choose" button. The artwork will show up in a new window. Use the slide bar underneath the window to adjust the size of the artwork. Add artwork to other songs by clicking the "Next" button or click "OK" if you are done adding artwork.

Connect your iPod to your computer with its USB cable. Select the songs you want to transfer to your iPod and drag them to the iPod icon in panel on the left side of iTunes. This will copy the song and attached artwork to your iPod.

Connect your iPod to your computer with its USB cable.

Open iTunes on your computer. Select your iPod from "Devices" in the iTunes Source pane on the left side of the iTunes window. Under "iPod settings" select the "Music" tab.

Click the box that says "Display album artwork on your iPod," which will allow your iPod to update your library and display the artwork for music that has been stored on it.

Click "Apply" to save the changes and start the update.
