How to Throw a Children's Party for the Theme of Little Mermaid

- Yellow and green streamers
- White, clear and blue balloons filled with helium
- Blue plastic tablecloth
- Little Mermaid themed paper plates, cups and utensils
- Sea shells
- Sand
- Blue cellophane
- Clear bowls

To create the feeling of being under water, tape yellow and green streamers hanging straight down from the ceiling. Also tape white, clear and blue balloons from the ceiling to represent bubbles and seaweed.

Cover your table with a blue plastic tablecloth and use Little Mermaid themed paper plates, utensils and cups. If the themed plastic wear is not available, use white, blue and yellow to continue the bubbles and seaweed theme.

Give each child the feel of the ocean by filling a clear bowl with sand. Place sea shells on the sand. Then, cover the lid with blue cellophane, and use a rubber band to secure it into place.

To create a fun twist to a traditional childhood game, draw a mermaid onto a poster board. Make sure to leave off the end of her tail. Play pin the tail on the mermaid by creating a fake fin for the children to try to pin onto the poster board while they are blindfolded.

Tips & Warnings
The girls might have even more fun if it's a dress-up party. You can either have costumes ready for the girls at the party or have the girls come to the party dressed up as characters from the movie.
Do not show the movie in the background. The girls will just stare at the TV and not play any of the games that you have prepared.
