Make Window Valances for a Little Girl's Bedroom

Every little girl dreams of being a princess, right? So why not give your little princess the room of her dreams? Here's an easy idea for pretty homemade window valances perfect for a little girl's bedroom:

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • tulle, silk flowers, glue
  1. Step 1

First of all, purchase pink tulle at a fabric store. Tulle is usually reasonably priced at just a few dollars per yard.

  2. Step 2

Generously wrap the pink tulle around your curtain rod letting it naturally drape down in several places.

  3. Step 3

Next, buy pink and purple silk flowers and snip off the petals. Then place them in the waves that were formed by the tulle. You can also use butterfly appliqués which can usually be found at a fabric or craft store.

  4. Step 4

Then attach either a large butterfly or a large flower blossom to each end of the curtain rod using a hot glue gun or even Velcro.

  5. Step 5

When designing homemade window valances for your little girl's bedroom, it's also a nice idea to alternate between the flower petals and the butterflies for a truly feminine touch.
