How to Prepare to Buy a Car

      At your appointment ask any questions you might have. This is a list of things you will need to know.
      1. What are your three credit scores.
      2. Which score does the bank use.
      3. How much can you borrow to hit your target payment
      4. How much of a down payment will you need to get to your target payment amount. (If the loan amount with your target payment is not enough).

      *Continue to save / shop for a vehicle.
      Continue to save those monthly payments while you shop for the vehicle you want. Do some research on vehicles and decide what will fit in your budget and work for you.

      *Making the deal.
      When you find the vehicle that you want at a fare price and you have saved up enough of a down payment, it is time to make a purchase. Always check with the dealer to see if they have any special finance options, if you are buying a new car there may be special financing available.

  • If your credit scores are low you can get a copy of your report and start to repair your ratings. The higher your scores are, the lower your interest rate on your loan will be.
