First you need to find where the insect infestation is coming from. If it is outside the house, you should find the source. I use a restaurant style sugar shaker to sprinkle the Perma-Guard Diatomaceous Earth. No nee to sprinkle in too heavy, just enough to make a think coating. If you see the trail the insects are using, sprinkle the diatomaceous earth on the trail too.

If your applying the Perma-Guard Diatomaceous Earth inside the house, make sure you apply in areas that the insects frequent. Window sills, along baseboards, and under counters, are great places to spread the diatomaceous earth. There have been times where I would find ants in my house, and spreading diatomaceous earth on the counter top during the night, took care of the problem.
