  1. Step 1

STOP USING CREDIT CARDS. USE THE LAYAWAY PLAN OR SHOP AT OUTLETS FOR ITEMS ON SALE.

You can save a lot of $$$, when buying clothes for yourself and for your love ones. Go old school and put items on layaway and pay with cash. Check out each store you shop at on a regular basis to see if they have a layaway plan. Do this instead of charging for everything. You would avoid paying money on the APR (Annual Percentage Rate) and finance charge. Many people pay about $200.00 to $1,000.00 extra on credit cards yearly from the APR and finance charge. Purchase items on sale, buy at discount stores, shop on eBay, shop at factory outlet stores, check out sample sales and shop online.

Trade clothes with friends or check out some of the thrift shops for designer clothing at the fraction of the price.

Go to the library to check out DVDs and books. Many states have libraries online, where you can check out e-books, audio books, and movies from your computer. Liberaries also sale books for really cheap. You can even trade with friends for books by having a book party.

  3. Step 3

    SAVE MONEY ON MUSIC.

Instead of buying the entire CD, buy only the songs you like for .69 to 1.99 online. Keep them on your music device (e.g. Zune) or extract them on your cds with your other favorite music.

Shop online for discounts on CDs and at entertainment outlet stores. You can also check out music from the library or swap with friends.
