Things You'll Need:
- Tape measure
- Pencil
- Stud finder
- Reinforcement board, such as a 2x4
- Drywall saw or utility knife
- Screws
- Drill
- Lag screws or fasteners
- Bolts or caulk

Step 1
Measure from the floor up the wall to the height of the sink. The sink's height should be labeled in the instructions from the manufacturer. Mark this height with a pencil on the wall, and also mark the wall where the center of the sink will be.

Use a stud finder to find the wall studs in the wall where you are placing the sink. The mounting holes in the sink may not align perfectly with the studs in the wall. In this case insert a reinforcement board to support the weight of the sink, such as a 2x4.

Cut a portion of the wall between the studs to place the support board. You can use a small drywall saw or utility knife to do this. Be mindful not to cut any wires or pipes in the wall. Use screws to attach the support board so that it's flush with the studs.

Step 4
Position the sink over the support board, and mark the mounting holes. Remove the sink, and drill into the support board where your marks are. If you did not need to install a support board, mark the mounting holes' location on the wall. Drill into the support board or the wall studs where the mounting hole marks were made.

Step 5
Mount the sink to the wall temporarily to ensure that it is level. Remove the sink, and set it aside.

Step 6
Move the water supply lines if necessary to position the pedestal portion of the sink. Put the pedestal where you want it, and mark where it will be mounted.

Step 7
Position the sink bowl onto the pedestal gently. Secure the sink to the wall with lag screws or fasteners that were included with the sink. Install the pedestal portion of the sink. Depending on the type of sink you purchased, it will either be bolted into the floor or just caulked.
