How to Use Mobile Web 2.0 for Free
Mobile Web 2.0 is an amenity offered on most smartphones and PDAs, which enables these phones to access the wonderful world of the Internet. In most cases, this service can be accessed from any mobile phone, but it is far from free. To obtain free and unlimited access to Mobile Web 2.0, this amenity has to be a part of your phone plan with your mobile service provider.

Contact your mobile phone's service provider. Every mobile service provider has either a 1-800 number, or an access code that is pre-installed to your cell phone's contact directory. Dial customer service from your mobile phone, and follow the automated service to be redirected to a customer service agent in the appropriate department.
-
2
Provide your account information. Once you are connected to a customer service agent, you will be prompted to provide the mobile phone's account holder information. (If the account is not in your name, you will need to provide personal information for the person on the account.) This information usually consists of your mobile phone number, the account holder's name and address, and the account's pin number or account holder's last four social security number digits.

3
Change your mobile plan to unlimited data usage. Once the customer service agent is able to access your account, simply place your request for the service to have your mobile account altered to fit these changes.

4
Restart your phone. Once your request has been made and implemented to your mobile plan, power your phone off, and restart it to finalize the changes to your mobile plan.

Tips & Warnings
Always ask about mobile plan specials regarding data usage before you simply opt to request unlimited data usage. You may be offered a cheaper price for your plan than you expect.
Changing your plan to unlimited data capability is the only way to ensure that your Mobile Web 2.0 service is free. Otherwise, you will be charged per kilobyte used when you log on to Mobile Web 2.0 from your mobile phone. You may not be able to change the mobile plan if the account is not in your name. If this is the case, the account holder will have to either authorize the account change, or add you as an executor for the mobile account. Beware of pro-rated charges. If you change your plan in the middle of the month, be aware that you will be charged more than your usually monthly cost in the following month. You will be charged for immediate access to the new changes, along with the new monthly charge. To avoid additional charges, only change your plan at the beginning or end of a billing cycle.
