How to Organize Bookmark Folders on Safari
When surfing the Internet, a well-organized collection of bookmarks can be helpful in easing navigation challenges and reducing errors. Collecting your bookmarks under defined categories can also be a good way to help streamline your exploring the Web and working online.

1
With Safari running, click on the Bookmarks menu at the top of the page and scroll down to "Add Bookmark Folder."
-
2
After selecting to add a folder, Safari will take you to a page that says "untitled folder" with a side bar of bookmark options on the left. The last of those options will be a new folder with the option to write text beside it. Name the folder and then drag it up to the bookmark bar. Type in the name that you want to appear on the bookmark menu and then hit "OK." For example, you have a collection of blogs that you like to read. Having a "Blog" bookmark folder can hold all of the blogs that you would regularly visit.

Now that you have the bookmark folder created, fill the folder with bookmarks to go under it. When you land on a page that can be broadly defined under a specific category then click the "+" button on the browser toolbar right above the bookmarks and left to the URL. Continuing with the example above, you would navigate your way to a blog, hit the add bookmark "+" button and then select the folder "Blogs" to put it in. (See Reference 1.)

Tips & Warnings
You can also click and drag the bookmarks to different places on the toolbar if there is a certain way that you want the folders organized.
There are some bookmarks you may use repeatedly, so it may not be practical to have those placed in folders. Also, you can overload folders and it becomes impractical to have to dig through the folders to get to the page that you want.
