How to Get to the Little Island on Mercay Island in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Mercay Island, in "The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass," is the island Link wakes up on at the very beginning of the game. It serves as a tutorial and the introductory level for the game. Link gets his first sword on the island, and NPCs around the island tell Link how to use his different abilities and attacks. Mercay Island has a little island right next to it. Freedle and a chest with a Wisdom Gem can be found on the island.

Go to the tree on Mercay Island that contains a large green rupee. It is next to an NPC who told you to hit the tree. It is located to the west of the Treasure Teller.

Go to the wall left of the tree.

Use the bomb. A hole will appear in the wall.

Enter the cave entrance past the hole in the wall.

Follow the tunnel to the little island.

Step on the floor switch outside the tunnel exit to lower the bridge between the little island and Mercay Island.

Go up the island. You will find Freedle and a chest with a Wisdom Gem.

Tips & Warnings
Link needs to collect 10 Wisdom Gems in order to equip Neri, the Spirit of Wisdom. Freedle allows Link to trade with other "Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass" players through the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi.
