How to Make a Pineapple Sheet Cake

Pineapple sheet cake is so yummy. It's good for pineapple upside down cake lovers. However, it's a great alternative, as it is to be served out of the pan. This recipe is made from scratch rather than a cake mix. Does this Spark an idea?

      Gather and prepare your cake ingredients:
      2 cups of self rising flour
      1 1/4 cups of sugar
      1 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple (do not drain)
      1/2 cup of brown sugar
      1/2 cup of chopped black walnuts

      Turn on the oven to preheat at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and grease a 13X9 inch cake pan.

      Mix the flour, sugar and pineapple together in a large mixing bowl.

      Pour the batter into the cake pan, and sprinkle the top with brown sugar and the walnuts.

      Bake the cake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

      While the cake bakes, prepare the glaze:

      3/4 cup of sugar
      1/2 cup of butter
      5 ounces of evaporated milk

      Mix all the glaze ingredients in a saucepan, and cook over medium heat.

      Stir the glaze constantly and bring to a boil.

      Boil for about 10 minutes, and when ready, pour it over the warm cake.
