If you have a minor leak on your Frigidaire or need to connect the water line, you have to move the water dispenser plate first. Removing it is simple, but it can be difficult to figure out how.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Lift the drip tray up, and then out. The drip tray is the tray located on the front of the door beneath the water and ice dispenser.

  2. Step 2

Remove the three screws located in the back with a screwdriver, then lift the front dispenser plate out.

  3. Step 3

Disconnect the ribbon wire attached to the front dispenser plate and the control board. The ribbon wire is what is left holding the dispenser plate to the door; leave the wire attached to the dispenser plate cover.

Tips & Warnings
  • The ribbon wire is easier to reconnect to the control board than to the dispenser plate, so disconnect it from the control board.
  • If the Frigidaire is still under warranty, call for service instead of doing it yourself. You might void the warranty.
