Curl the top eyelashes. Keep the curler clean with frequent washing and make sure it functions properly.

Apply eyeliner to the bottom lid starting at the outside corner. Draw a thin line next to the lashes going toward the nose. Use short lines if that is easier than one long line.

Draw a thin line with eyeliner next to the top eyelashes. Start on the inside of the lid and widen the line as you near the end of the eyelashes. This will help to open the eyes.

Use a light-colored eyeshadow near the inner corner of the upper lid.

Apply clear mascara to the bottom and top lashes. Comb through the lashes when they are dry to separate and define each lash.

Apply black or brown mascara to the top and bottom lashes to make the lashes darker. Comb through the lashes when the mascara is dry and repeat if more mascara is desired.
