You can use numerous methods to control a mole problem in your lawn or garden, including trapping or poisoning them. Moles can cause harm to gardens when their tunnels, usually dug near the surface, damage roots. Although moles won't eat your plants, the tunnels they build become highways for other pests to consume your plants. One cheap method of eradicating the pest problem is using Juicy Fruit gum. Baiting moles with Juicy Fruit gum

Purchase Juicy Fruit gum from your local store. Most packs will cost less than $1.

Locate one or more mole hills where moles are causing harm to your lawn or garden.

Dig up the top of the mole hill using a hand shovel.

Place bite-sized pieces of the Juicy Fruit gum in the mole's tunnel once you've uncovered the "hill" of dirt.

Cover the mole hill back up. Repeat the process on other mole hills to increase your chances of the mole finding and eating the Juicy Fruit gum.

Wow - interesting idea - but I do have one question? You mentioned "bite-sized" pieces - do you mean "bite-sized" for humans or "bite-sized" for moles - and if so, what is considered bite-sized for moles? Seriously I'm serious! Ready to try *anything!

This works for gophers also. The only downside is that the gum caused the gopher to actually explode. No kidding; I found three total, with holes in their sides!
