How to Find a Metaphysical Teacher
Finding a metaphysical teacher can be a rewarding and exciting search. Many of the schools offering metaphysical courses and degrees allow you to learn online with e-mail, video and teleconferencing. They offer different levels of instruction as well as a wide choice of fields in which to study. Individual teachers lead retreats as well as online classes too. A wide and varied selection of metaphysical teachers, fields, and schools awaits the student, from individual classes to doctorate degrees.

Attend a retreat. Weekend seminars are a great way to meet and work with metaphysicians in an atmosphere conducive to spiritual learning. Guy Finley offers several retreats in the woods of southern Oregon, ranging from three to five days, on topics such as Life of Learning, and Fearlessness. Carol Ritburger leads three-day classes in California and Michigan on The Subtle Workings of the Law of Abundance, and The Sacred Self: The Journey, The Expression, The Work. They both offer classes online and through video and teleclass formats.

Check out the schools. You can earn a degree in metaphysics while meeting a variety of teachers. Several universities specialize in the metaphysical sciences. The University Of Metaphysical Sciences offers bachelor, masters, and doctorate degrees, with a wide variety of classes and teachers. Fields include Divinity, Metaphysical Sciences, and Holistic Life Coaching. The University of Metaphysics offers similar programs and degrees specializing in Ministerial work also. Bachelor through Doctorate degrees in Divinity and Metaphysical sciences are offered, too. Both of these schools have their full curriculum online.

Metaphysical colleges which offer a degree program with a varied teaching staff cost from around $900 - $4000, depending on whether scholarships are available, what level of degree is sought, and if the student will require financing. These schools provide bachelor degrees up to doctorate programs, and offer the classes and course material online.
Individual teachers offer classes in person or online varying from simple lessons to weekend retreats. The lessons run from $15-20, while the retreats can be as much as $300-400 for three days plus lodging and meals.
