Instructions

    • 1

Measure left to right of the opening, from edge to edge. Notate this measurement, then divide it by two and notate the center measurement as well.

    • 2

Measure from the top of the opening to bottom, from edge to edge, making sure the measurement is accurate within 1/4 inch. Notate this measurement.

    • 3

Examine the rough opening's interior for any studs, water pipes or any other obstructions. If there are any obstructions, measure the depth from the outside of the rough opening to the obstruction. This is the maximum depth of the cabinet if you want it flush with the wall. If there are no obstructions, measuring the depth is not necessary.
