How to Get Yahoo Instant Messenger

Yahoo! Messenger is used by millions, and provides an easy way to chat, play games, and share files with friends and family members. It can be downloaded by anyone with an Internet connection, and you can be having fun online within minutes.

Instructions

1. Open a web browser and browse to messenger.yahoo.com.

2. Click the "Download Now" button. You will be brought to a page with another "Download Now" button. Click this as well. Save the file to your desktop.

3. Double click the saved file, e.g. "msgr9us.exe". Follow the prompts to install the software.

4. Launch Yahoo! Messenger from the desktop or "Start" menu.

5. Click "Get a new Yahoo! ID" if you do not have a Yahoo! Messenger screen name already. Fill in your personal information and select a screen name and password. If you already have a screen name, skip this step.

6. Enter your screen name and password to sign in to Yahoo! Messenger.
