How to Store Your Colander
A colander is a necessary part of cooking small items such as pasta. Cooks use colanders to drain pasta before adding sauce or butter, or before the pasta is placed into other dishes for cooking.
Colanders tend to take up space. Fortunately, there are ways to easily store colanders and take them out for use.

1
Choose a place in your pantry and set the colander in the space. If you have multiple colanders, you can stack them up in the same spot to save space. Be sure to put the colander in a place that is easily accessible for you.

2
Hang the colander on a wall using a removable hook. Put the hook in a convenient place and then hang the colander on it. You can hang multiple colanders next to each other as well, as long as you have hooks for each one.

3
Use a pot rack to store your colander. Pot racks can store colanders without having to put anything on a wall, and you don't have to sort through a pantry to get at a pot.

Tips & Warnings
Consider using a folding colander, as it stacks and hangs on a hook much easier then regular colanders. It also takes up much less space.
Be sure to test how much weight the hook can handle before making it long-term. If the colander is too heavy, it may rip the hook off the adhesive. Be careful what you stack inside your colander. Stacking things in a colander may damage the colander itself. If you haven't used a colander in a while, be sure to give it a quick rinse, as long-term storage attracts dust and bacteria.
