In tough times like these we all can use some extra cash for the holidays. Fortunately the holidays provide tons of opportunities to earn extra cash.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Assertiveness
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Creativity
  1. Step 1

Flea markets are a good way to earn extra cash. You can rent a table and sell homemade crafts. Homemade items such as scented candles, bath salts or soaps, and fragrant lotions make great gifts so chances are they will be a big hit. They are all pretty easy to make as well, and you can even make gift baskets of the homemade items to increase your profits. Now before you go selling your homemade items make sure you check your local regulations on selling certain homemade products. Another great idea is homemade potpourri which is simple to make also.

  2. Step 2

Plan a bus trip to a popular event or shopping destination. Now this will be a little tougher to accomplish because requires a lot of “leg” work, but the pay off can be substantial. The first thing you will want to do is pick a place or a few places and figure out the cost of the bus ride and if it is an event the price of tickets to the event (always ask for the group rate). Once you get the total divide it by the number of seats on the bus, figure in your profit and decide if it is doable. By doable I mean would people honestly be willing to pay the price you must offer to make a profit. It’s best to pick a destination that is an hour or two away from the departure point, it must be popular to attract a lot of people and you will have to advertise it well.

  3. Step 3

Freebie trading is an awesome way to earn extra cash especially for the holidays. I know that there is a stigma about trading freebies, and if you are not familiar with it, it is basically completing offers for products in which you earn credits. Once you have earned enough credits you are paid cash in the amount agreed upon with the trader. Here is what makes it such a sweet deal, find products that you can give as gifts! Not only will you be buying stuff for your list but in essence you will be paid to purchase them. Now is that a sweet deal or what? This can also be a great fundraiser. If you are heading up a fundraiser just complete a site for someone, once you complete a site you will get a link to get your own referrals where people will complete the site for you. Just get some business cards with information about your fundraiser and your link and have people complete the site. You are then paid by the site. I think that it is a pretty creative idea, and most sites that I have visited have an offer for business cards.

  4. Step 4

So I hope these tips help to put some extra dough in your pockets this holiday season, or better yet give you an idea for a small business to continue to earn extra cash. If you have any questions about any of these ideas feel free to shoot me a message and I will help in any way possible. Good luck and thanks for reading.
