Corelle dinnerware products have been a staple on thousands of dining room tables across the country for more than 30 years. Corelle is known for its durability and longevity, as the process of laminating two different glass compositions creates a product that is stronger than traditional dinnerware. All Corelle dinnerware is conventional and microwave-safe, with the exception of a newer line called "Hearthstone," which has some some pieces that should not be used for reheating. Another reason for consumers' love of Corelle is the ease of care. Keeping your dinnerware looking new is simple and stress-free.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Non-abrasive cleanser
  • Plastic or nylon cleaning pads
  • Automatic dishwasher
  • Automatic dishwasher detergent

    Washing By Hand

  1. Step 1

Rinse soiled dinnerware in hot soapy water. Note that some cups and mugs are made from stoneware and should not be allowed to soak in water for extended periods of time.

  2. Step 2

Wipe soiled areas clean with a soft dishcloth, making sure to clean around any rims and outer surfaces. For heavily soiled items or stuck-on foods, use a plastic or nylon scouring pad.

  3. Step 3

    Rinse with clean, hot water.

  4. Step 4

Place washed items on drying rack or mat to dry. Avoid stacking plates, bowls and cups before completely dry, as water could become trapped between them and become sour or moldy.

  5. Automatic Dishwasher

  6. Step 1

Rinse soiled dinnerware in hot soapy water. Note that some cups and mugs are made from stoneware and should not be allowed to soak in water for extended periods of time.

  7. Step 2

Load dinnerware into machine in such a manner to avoid bumping against other items during the wash and rinse cycles. Corelle dinnerware is not easily breakable; however, scratching and defacing of pattern could occur over time if care is not taken in an automatic dishwasher.

  8. Step 3

Wash on regular wash cycle with non-abrasive automatic dishwasher detergent.

Tips & Warnings
  • Manufacturer recommends washing newly purchased dinnerware before use to remove clear protective coating.
