How to Make a Paper Ninja Weapon
A shuriken is a common and effective weapon in a ninja's arsenal. By following a few simple folding techniques, you will soon have your own paper shuriken.

1
Acquire a piece of origami paper and fold it down the center vertical so that the fold is parallel with the longest sides of the piece of paper. Tear it in half on that fold to create two skinnier pieces of paper. Fold your two pieces of paper in half vertically again to make them even skinnier.

2
Fold the two sheets horizontal and reopen them. There will be a crease in the center of the paper parallel to the shortest sides. Have the paper on the table so that a short side is facing you. Take that short side and fold it diagonally left so that the side of that fold meets the crease you made in the center of the paper. Rotate the paper so the other short side is facing you and repeat. Make the same folds in the other piece of paper, only fold the short sides diagonally right so that your final result mirrors the first.

3
Flip both pieces of paper over so that the side facing you looks like it is split in three sections. Your papers should look like a stretched "Z" shape and still mirroring each other. Fold the outside edges of the "Z" shaped paper in toward the nearest crease. Your papers should look like four triangles merged together.

4
Fold the outermost triangles inward so that the papers each look like two big triangles mirroring each other. Fold those triangles across the center crease so it resembles a parallelogram. Turn only one piece of folded paper over now so they are no longer mirrored.
-
5
Notice flaps on the outside of the parallelograms. Pulls the flaps out of one so that they are pointing down, and the flaps out of one so they are pointing up. Place one sheet on top of the other so that they resemble an "X," collectively. The open slits should be on the outside for both sheets of paper. Now just fold the flaps into the slits on both sides so it is a four-point shuriken.

Tips & Warnings
Although real origami paper is best, you can use any paper material to make the star. The only stipulation is that the starting material must be a perfect square.
Be careful when handling the paper. Although paper cuts are usually not serious, they can hurt and become infected if not cared for.
