How to Replace Internet Explorer With Google Chrome Browser

Replacing Internet Explorer as your web browser of choice with Google Chrome is not difficult and only takes a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Go to the Google Chrome website,www.google.com/chrome, and download the Google Chrome browser by clicking on the "Download" button. The program is free and only takes a few minutes to download and install.

2. Open Google Chrome through a desktop icon or the "Start Menu".

3. Click the icon of a wrench on the upper right hand corner of the browser window. This will allow you to customize and control Google Chrome.

4. Select "Options" from the drop down menu. Click on the button that says "Make Google Chrome my default browser."

Tips & Warnings

• You can switch back to having Internet Explorer as your default by going to the "Tools" menu in an Explorer window and choosing "Internet Options", "Programs" and "Make Default".
