Step 1
In order to properly catch a fly ball one must first see the ball as soon as contact is made. When the bat hits the ball immediately concentrate on seeing and finding the ball in its flight path.

You must get to the area where the ball is going to land. Without taking your eye off the ball, sprint to the location where you think the ball end up.

Step 3
Get your glove up above your head so you are prepared to catch the ball. Your glove should be above your head, but not blocking your vision.

Step 4
When the ball is on its way down into your glove you must wait for it to hit your hand and then squeeze. Also, you should use your other hand to cover the opening in the glove to ensure that the ball does not come out.
