Instructions

    • 1

Use sunscreen on your entire face every day no matter the season. Sun can cause wrinkles and age spots on your face, even in winter weather. Choose an SPF that works well for your skin type and how long you want it to last. See the resource section to find the right SPF for you.

Keep your skin smooth with a daily and nightly moisturizer. Thin face lotion is good for day use, while a heavy moisturizer can quench dry skin while you sleep. Regular moisturizing will minimize dry skin and wrinkles.

    • 3

Set up a humidifier to moisten dry air. This is especially important in the winter, as winter-dry air can contribute to facial dryness.

    • 4

Sleep on your back. Doctors have found that sleeping on your side or stomach can pull your face down, causing permanent wrinkles on your cheeks and chin (See Reference 2).

    • 5

Avoid makeup that can dry out your skin. Use thin liquid or cream foundation made especially for anti-aging. Cream blush is better than powder blush. Regular use of powder and paste makeup will cause premature aging.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use sunscreen and moisturizer on the rest of your skin to keep areas such as arms and legs looking fresh.

  • Cigarette smoke can also cause facial aging. Quit that bad habit.
