How to Get a Stronger Mobile TV Signal

Like most other mobile devices, mobile televisions need a strong signal to display local stations. Because the device is not a cable or satellite based television, it is not going to lock into a wide variety of stations, but CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX and PBS are all channels you should be able to receiver, as long as you have a strong mobile TV signal.

1. Stay clear of any basement. It is difficult for television signals to reach inside a basement so your reception is going to be poor.

2. Move close to windows and away from metal siding on buildings. If you are on the inside of a building, large panels of metal can prevent the signal from reaching your mobile TV. Staying close to a window can give you a better chance at receiving an increased signal.

3. Avoid using the mobile TV out in the country. Most broadcast signals are not strong enough to make it to you, unless you are right outside of a larger city.

4. Extend your antenna completely. Also, try moving it around, because the antenna may receive a better signal at different angles. You may need to do this for all the stations.

5. Get closer to a local TV station, if you know where it is. Moving closer to the source of the signal is going to give you a stronger reception.
