Like most other mobile devices, mobile televisions need a strong signal to display local stations. Because the device is not a cable or satellite based television, it is not going to lock into a wide variety of stations, but CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX and PBS are all channels you should be able to receiver, as long as you have a strong mobile TV signal.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Mobile TV Signal
  1. Step 1

Stay clear of any basement. It is difficult for television signals to reach inside a basement so your reception is going to be poor.

  2. Step 2

Move close to windows and away from metal siding on buildings. If you are on the inside of a building, large panels of metal can prevent the signal from reaching your mobile TV. Staying close to a window can give you a better chance at receiving an increased signal.

  3. Step 3

Avoid using the mobile TV out in the country. Most broadcast signals are not strong enough to make it to you, unless you are right outside of a larger city.

  4. Step 4

Extend your antenna completely. Also, try moving it around, because the antenna may receive a better signal at different angles. You may need to do this for all the stations.

  5. Step 5

Get closer to a local TV station, if you know where it is. Moving closer to the source of the signal is going to give you a stronger reception.
