How to Hear What Words Sound Like in Morse Code Online

A painter by the name of Samuel F. B. Morse created the first working electromagnetic telegraph in 1836. Because of his invention, transmission was possible no matter where you were and the location of person you were trying to communicate with. Today, Morse Code is a very successful way of communicated during conditions that make it tough to communicate in other ways.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Visit the Glass Giant website. Click on "Geek Stuff" in the navigation bar. Allow the page to load.

  2. Step 2

    Click on "Morse Code Translator" under "Geek Stuff".

  3. Step 3

    Download and install Flash Player 6 (if you don't see the text box on the page). You can download the Flash Player by clicking the "Flash Player 6" link in blue text.

  4. Step 4

    Turn on your speakers. Make sure that they are on high volume so that you can hear the words translated into Morse Code.

  5. Step 5

    Type the text that you wish to hear in Morse code in the text box. When you are finished, click "Listen." Listen to the phrase or word in Morse Code.

  6. Step 6

    View the Morse Code Alphabet to get an idea of what each letter and number looks like in Morse Code.
