Genital Herpes outbreaks normally last between 7 and 10 days. Though there's no way to treat genital herpes, there are ways to help shorten a genital herpes outbreak with natural remedies.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Lysine: Lysine is an amino acid used to keep herpes under control. It helps to fight off the virus, but it should only be taken during outbreaks. If you take it frequently when you're not suffering from an outbreak, you can develop a tolerance.

  2. Step 2

Vitamins: Some of the vitamins necessary to help prevent an outbreak include Vitamin A, B-Complex Vitamins, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium and Selenium. Try adding the vitamins you don't get regularly in supplemental form, or try to upgrade to a multi vitamin that contains all of the necessary vitamins.

  3. Step 3

Olive Leaf: Olive Leaf extract helps to end an outbreak of genital herpes. It can also help to prevent future outbreaks when taken daily.
