'Tis the season for drinking beer and eating bratwurst! Fall is upon us so why not host an Oktober Fest party? Here are some great Oktober Fest party ideas for your next event:

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • beer, brats, pretzels, apples, etc.
  1. Step 1

Buy German beer and plenty of it. Think Trader Joe's for an economical option.

  2. Step 2

Serve big pretzels with mustard and cheese. Purchase boxes of frozen pretzels and bake according to the instructions on the box. Or if you're really creative, make your own pretzels and don't forget the salt!

  3. Step 3

Set up an apple dipping station complete with a crock pot of melted caramel. Offer dipping options like: sprinkles, nuts, chocolate morsels, M&M's and marshmallows.

  4. Step 4

Serve bratwurst, German potato salad and German chocolate cake at your Oktober Fest party.

  5. Step 5

Use real leaves and fill up tall glass vases for thrifty centerpieces. Or use empty German beer bottles and place just a single mum or other fall flower inside.

  6. Step 6

Give each guest a small pumpkin to take home as a favor. Or encourage your young guests to decorate the pumpkin at the party with markers, stickers, etc.
