Things You'll Need
- Rubbing alcohol or other astringent

Scrub your face with deep-cleaning soap to remove excess dirt and oil. This prevents further breakouts and subsequent dark spots.

Wipe a thin layer of alcohol on your face at least once a day. Astringent dries up existing acne and prevents further breakouts by eliminating excess oil.

Apply the liquid gel from a vitamin e capsule or lotion to any particularly noticeable dark spots on your face. Let the vitamin E absorb into your skin completely, for at least half an hour (preferably an hour).

Repeat this process daily. The vividness of your dark spots will decrease within a couple of weeks. Continue to apply the vitamin E to affected areas for at least two weeks, though it may take up to a month to attain the best results.
