How to Customize UFC Gloves
There is no question that mixed martial arts has become increasingly popular of the past several years, and at the forefront of that popularity is the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As more people become aware of the sport, many want to participate themselves, and with that comes the desire to stand out from the crowd as an individual. One way to do this it to wear customized gloves, not only to ensure proper fit, but also to dress them up so that they reflect the personality of the wearer.

How to Customize Mixed Martial Arts Gloves
-
1
Order a set of mixed martial arts gloves in the size desired. These can be obtained at either local sporting goods stores such as Dick's Sporting Goods or online at sites such as seriousag.com. Most mixed martial arts gloves weigh five ounces, have padding on the back portion of the glove, are fingerless, and have the palms removed.

Try on the gloves and make sure that they fit properly. You can make minor amounts of alteration and customization by trimming the gloves with scissors or binding them with double stick tape. However, before making changes, check with the organizations for which you'll be fighting to make certain what glove alterations are and are not acceptable.

3
Decide what logo or design you want on the gloves. Work out a visual representation of this design or logo on a separate piece of paper before going any further. Again, check that designs or logos are allowed on gloves in the organization for which you will be fighting.
-
4
Decide on the placement of the design, and trace or stencil it onto the glove with a pencil.
-
5
Use an airbrush or paint set to fill in the design with the desired colors. Make sure to use a permanent acrylic-based paint so that it will not rub off or smear when the gloves are used.
