How to Replace Food Saver Bags

The Food Saver is a vacuum system that helps remove the air around food when it is stored. The food is placed into a Food Saver bag, then the bag is connected to the vacuum and the air is removed. The bag is then sealed and ready for storage. However, once a bag is torn or damaged it cannot be used again. This is because the air lock seal is damaged while being opened. Instead, you have to replace the Food Saver bag.

Instructions

1. Check your local Walmart, Target or similar store for replacement bags and rolls. These can also be found in some kitchen appliance stores. Because the Food Saver is not offered in all stores, in can be difficult to find replacement bags at a brick-and-mortar store.

2. Log online to the Food Saver website (Foodsaver.com). Click on the "Bags And Rolls" option on the front page, which takes you to a new page that lists a variety of Food Saver bags.

3. Browse through the variety of bags. There are different size bags (from pint to gallon) and some bags are designed to work in the microwave.

4. Select the "View" button to learn more about any particular kind of bag. Select any bag to purchase by clicking "Add to Cart." This brings up your shopping cart with the replacement food bags you selected listed. Follow the remaining prompts to complete your Food Saver bag purchase.
