Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a wooden window frame from a home improvement store, or find one at a yard or estate sale. Make sure the frame has one or more crosspieces, creating a series of small window openings as opposed to one large opening. Sand the wood smooth on all surfaces, then rub it with a cloth to remove the dust.

    • 2

Paint the frame, front and back, with gloss or semi-gloss indoor paint. Let the paint dry, then cover it with another coat. If you would like your window frame to have an older country look, lightly sand some of the prominent edges.

    • 3

Lay the frame on the floor, front side down. Lay out the mirror squares so that they completely cover the window openings. Use duct tape to securely fasten each mirror square to the back of the frame. Don't skimp on the tape; the mirrors need to be affixed tightly to the frame.

Use wall anchors to secure a hanger to a wall stud. Hang your window mirror on the wall. To add to the country antique look, drape faux ivy or morning glory vines around your window.
