How to Download a Third Grade Practice CRCT Test

If you live in the state of Georgia and are the parent of a third grader, your child is going to take the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT). The CRCT is a state issued test that determines how each school system is performing, based on the knowledge demonstrated by its students (most states require a test similar to this). To give your child a leg up on the test and to ease his or her nerves, you may want to administer a practice CRCT test.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the CRCT practice test website (see Resources section). This site has a number of different practice tests available, all created by educators. The subject matter includes math, language arts and science. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the PDF printable versions of the tests.

    • 2

Click on the PDF test you want your child to take (such as geometry and measurement test 1 or grammar and mechanics test 1).

    • 3

Select "Save File" when asked what you would like to do with the file. It now begins to download.

    • 4

Open the PDF CRCT test (it is either on the desktop or in a pop-up "Downloads" folder).

    • 5

Print the test for your child by clicking "File" followed by "Print" after the PDF test has opened. Have your child take the test without help from you, and then correct the test yourself to see in which areas your child might need improvement.
