1. If you want to be a gangster, then rule #1 is to never snitch or be a rat. You don't have to sell dope. You just have to be down for your hood. Gangster's dont snitch, gangster's dont dance, they mash and boogie. They look for means to make money, most of the time illegally since most are convicted felons with no other way out. In order to be a gangster, you must be in a gang or a set. You have to have homies (friends) that will back you up. If you don't belong in a set and you have the same mentality as a gangster, then that is a thug.

2. Trust nobody. Keep a handful of friends. Join a gang and remain close with them but not too close. Don't talk to the police regardless. If a group of people disrespects you and your alone, always fight back regardless. Even if you get beat up, it's about the pride and respect of not being categorized as a "mark."

3. Most younger gangsters (baby gangsters) are the crazy ones that do dirt for the OG's (original gangsters). These are the ones you have to look out for because their young, dumb, and full of you know what. The older gangsters are more into hustling and making money by moving narcotics. The younger gangsters are more about gangbanging and starting trouble with other groups for no reason. That is called banging. If you want to be a gangster, you better have a gun because you don't know what hood you don't get along with will wipe you out. Always watch your back and be cautious of where you go at what time of the day. Always be down to fight and scrap for your "homies".

Tips & Warnings

• I recommend people to not glorify the gangster life, like they do in movies
• You live by the gun, you die by the gun
• Who you think your "homies" are will easily rat you out if they ever get caught for something illegal in order to decrease their time in jail
• Avoid being affiliated with gangsters. They are nothing but trouble and turn out to be losers later on in life, with records causing them to not being able to get a job.
• Get into sports or any hobby that will keep you away from the gang life.
• It might be "cool" to be in a gang in high school, but after that it is not considered cool, but rather immature. You might get girls in high school but a real women wants a man that can support her, which you can't do that behind bars.
