The childcare industry is a big industry with a lot of money to be made. Starting a daycare from home isn't easy but with a few steps and some advice, it can be done. If you are committed and really want to start a daycare from home, you can!

  1. Step 1

    First you need to look up the laws in your state to make sure you abide by them. You can find a list of the laws at http://www.childcare.gov/ Make sure you create a check-list of every law you must follow to make sure you pass inspection. This is the most important step to start a daycare from home.

  2. Step 2

    After making sure you abide all laws and meet legal requirements, you must make sure you have all legal forms for parents to fill out. You can find legal forms under "resources". There are many programs designed to help you start a daycare from home.

  3. Step 3

    Next, you need learning materials and toys for the age of child you wish to care for. If you want to care for toddlers, get toddler toys and educational material.

  4. Step 4

    Advertise your home daycare on places like craigslist and backpage. Get the word out about your daycare from home! Remember, only care for the legal amount in your state! You can always hire other workers so that number can increase.
