Get The Straightest Hair Possible From Blow Drying

Learn the proper techniques to successfully blow dry your hair so it comes out salon straight each and every time.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start off by using a heat-protectant spray on towel-dried hair. Excessive heat from blow drying and flat ironing can cause hair breakage and hair loss, so always use a heat protectant spray, gel or cream on hair before coming into contact with heat. 2. Step 2

Begin by blow drying the bottom portion of your hair first. Use hair clips and pens to section off areas of your hair that you are not currently blow drying.

  3. Step 3

Use a medium size round brush to grab hair at the roots and run the brush and the hair dryer in a downwards motion until each section of hair is completely dry and smooth.

  4. Step 4

When your hair is completely dry, use a moisturizing spritz- like Nexus Heat Protectant to protect your hair from additional heat styling. Pay special attention to the ends of your hair as the ends are the most delicate.

  5. Step 5

Glide a flatiron over your locks to smooth out the sections of your hair that did not get straight by a blow dryer alone.

  6. Step 6

Once you are done flat ironing your hair, use a shine serum to add gloss and luster to your hair. The finished result will be beautiful, straight celebrity approved locks.
